How to Fill the Windshield Washer Fluid in a Toyota Highlander
- 1). Turn your Highlander off and take the keys out of the ignition before popping the hood.
- 2). Pull the hood release latch nestled beneath the instrument panel to disengage the hood.
- 3). Hop out of the SUV and walk around to its front. Reach under the hood and pull up on the auxiliary release latch to reveal the engine compartment.
- 4). Prop the hood open using the thin support rod along the edge of the engine compartment. Make sure the rod has a solid grip on the hood before proceeding.
- 5). Locate the windshield washer fluid reservoir in the front left corner of the engine compartment.
- 6). Flip open the reservoir cap and place a funnel into the opening.
- 7). Pour the additional washer fluid into the reservoir until it's nearly full. Then, top it off with a few drops of fluid to make sure it's completely full.
- 8). Take out the funnel, close the reservoir cap and firmly press the hood back in place.
