Ribbon Christmas Tree Craft Project
- 1). Cut the ribbon into 3 inch strips. Start by cutting 10 strips of each color of ribbon. Cut more ribbon as needed to decorate the entire tree. By cutting strips as you go, you will not cut more than is needed and waste your ribbon.
- 2). Stand the cone up. Fold a strip of ribbon in half with its printed side facing you. Hold the ends of the ribbon together against the bottom edge of the cone. Insert a pin into the ribbon and push it into the Styrofoam to secure it in place.
- 3). Fold more strips of ribbon and line the bottom of the cone with them by pinning the ribbon to the cone. Start the next row by placing the looped end of a folded ribbon over the pinned end of a ribbon on the first row. Position it so that no Styrofoam shows through, and the loop of the first row ribbon is visible. Pin the ribbon in place.
- 4). Continue adding ribbon in rows up the cone, and overlap the rows to hide the Styrofoam and show the lower ribbon loop. When you reach the top, pin three folded ribbons to the tip of the cone.
- 5). Cut a 4-inch piece of the silver glitter stem. Glue the stem to the decorative silver paper star. Wait 20 minutes for the glue to dry. Insert the free end of the silver glitter stem into the top center of the cone's tip.
