How to Make a Natural Facial Toner
- 1). Prepare the container you choose by sterilizing it. Some dishwashers have a sterilization setting; however, it is a waste of energy to use it for just one glass. You can also sterilize it by placing it in boiling water for about 10 minutes--just make sure the jar dries out before you add the ingredients.
- 2). You can purchase rosewater from health food stores or even in some ethnic markets. It is an ingredient often used in Indian cooking. If you plan on cooking with it, you may want to buy rosewater that is suitable for food.
- 3). You'll also want to locate distilled water. Ask your local pharmacist if they have any. If you are having a hard time tracking it down you can substitute this for witch hazel.
- 4). Fill the jar halfway with rosewater and halfway with distilled water or witch hazel. Add three drops of chamomile essential oil. Cover the jar tightly and shake to distribute the oil. Let it stand for about 24 hours until you use it.
- 5). To use, shake the bottle well. Soak a cotton ball with the toner and apply all over your face after cleansing and before applying moisturizer.
