    • 1). Shampoo your hair as usual. Untangle your hair gently using your wide-tooth comb just until it is damp to the touch. Work the hair gel or mousse into your hair from your scalp to the ends. Use only as much as is needed to evenly and lightly distribute into your hair without rubbing it in and tangling your hair again.

    • 2). Comb the mousse or gel in with your comb, then separate a section as wide as your curlers on the top of your head. Place a tissue paper over the end of this section and fold it over so the end of your hair is fully covered. Put a roller on the end and roll it toward the back of your head and secure with a clip. As you are placing your hair in the tissue papers and on curlers, make sure the ends are as straight and smooth as possible, to avoid frizzy ends in the morning.

    • 3). Continue rolling the hair at the top of your head back as detailed in Step 2. Move to the sides of your head, rolling sections down toward your shoulders, placing the first curler close to the top of your head. Position the next few curlers immediately below the top curlers so you achieve full body and curl.

    • 4). Move to the back of your head on the left side and position a curler close to the top, rolling it down toward the nape of your neck. Place subsequent curlers below the curlers at the top, again for full body and curl. Repeat on the back of your head, on the right side.

    • 5). Direct some warm air from your hair dryer all over your head if you aren't sure your hair will be completely dry in the morning. Take care to keep the heat from your dryer from getting too hot. Wrap the hair scarf all over your head, covering every curler and tie it on securely.
