How to Set a Glass Tabletop on a Base
- 1). Position the table's support structure according to your design plan. Your table's product instructions may offer information on, for example, how much space to allow between the table and walls or other furniture. Once you have installed the glass top, minimize shifting the furniture.
- 2). Place the glass carefully atop the table support, according to product instructions. Every glass table comes with assembly and care instructions to consult. Ease the glass into its ideal position, which should be diagrammed in the instruction manual. For example, a round glass tabletop should be centered atop its supports.
- 3). Secure the tabletop. Your glass tabletop may include clips, clasps or other mechanisms to ensure the top does not shift or topple from its supporting structure. These must be in the locked position before you put the table into use.
