How to Make a Braided Rubberband Up-Do
- 1). Part your hair in the middle using a wide-toothed comb. The wide-toothed comb will prevent the waves from being broken down. If no wide-toothed comb is available, simply run your fingers through your hair.
- 2). Braid hair by dividing it into three equal sections. Start the braid at the nape of the neck, ending nearly at the bottom of the hair. Leave only an inch or so un-braided, and then the secure it with a clear rubber band.
- 3). Roll the braid at the nape of the neck toward the left or to the right. Slowly roll the braid around and around, pinning the braid as you go. Once you get to the end, be sure to tuck the un-braided part underneath the braided part.
- 4). Secure the hair by using pins and rubber bands. Use clear rubber bands so they won't be easily seen. Use hairpins to tame flyaways and secure the bulk of the hair.
- 5). Complete the look by pulling a few strands in front of your ears. Curling the strands is optional. Use a moderate hold hairspray to set the style in place.
