How to Remove the Kensington Laptop Lock
- 1). Locate the "lock button" on the outside edge of the combination mechanism furthest from the laptop. Push and hold down the "lock button."
- 2). Use your finger to spin each "number wheel" of the lock to the appropriate number starting from the outer wheel and moving inward while holding down the "lock button." For example, for a combination of "1357," spin the outer wheel to "1," the second wheel to "3," to third wheel to "5" and the wheel closet to the laptop to "7."
- 3). Hold the "lock button" in while rotating the lock itself back 90 degrees. Gently pull the lock away from the laptop revealing the "T-bar" that attaches to the Kensington lock slot on the laptop.
