    • 1). Park your 1995 Chevy Blazer on a level surface and turn off the engine. Let the engine cool completely. Pop open the hood and use a wrench to loosen the bolt on the negative battery cable. Remove the cable from the battery terminal and move it away from the battery. Place the cable end on a dry rag or towel so that it will not touch metal and create a short.

    • 2). Place a drain pan directly under your radiator. Remove the drain plug from the bottom of the radiator and allow the coolant to drain into the pan. Reinstall and tighten the drain plug.

    • 3). Remove the bolt attached to the drive belt tensioner using a nut driver so that you can remove the drive belt from the tensioner. Repeat the process on the water pump pulley. Lift the water pump belt off the pulley. Loosen the bolt securing the clamp to the lower radiator hose and remove the hose from the radiator.

    • 4). Use a wrench to remove the mounting bolts holding the water pump in place. Lift the old water pump off the engine and out of the vehicle. Clean the gasket mounting surfaces on the engine with a clean rag. Be careful that you wipe debris away from the engine rather than into the engine opening.

    • 5). Attach the included O-ring to the new water pump. Secure the new water pump to the engine with the mounting bolts that you removed earlier. Place the drive belt and water pump belt on their respective tensioners and secure them both in place by tightening the bolts on the tensioners with the nut driver. Reattach the radiator hose to the water pump and secure firmly in place with the clamp.

    • 6). Reconnect the negative battery cable to the battery terminal and tighten the retaining bolt securely. Start the engine on your 19995 Chevy Blazer to check that the new water pump works correctly.
