Sony LTO6 has a native storage capacity of 2.5TB and compressed capacity of 6.25TB with a very high transfer rate of 160 MB/s (native) to 400 MB/s (compressed). These tapes are manufactured with fine magnetic particles and higher thermal stability binder. These can support LTFS and have extra-ordinary feature of Metal particle technology.
Maxell LTO6 enables similar amount of data storage capacity with incorporation of the NeoSMART( Super Maximum capacity Advanced Reliability Tape) technology to enhance benefits of LTO6 tapes.
