How to Install an Alumnium Coil Spring Block
- 1). Raise the vehicle using two of the large floor jacks and secure the car in place on top of the jack stands.
- 2). Unscrew all bolts attaching the rear tires to the tire iron, and remove the rear tires from the vehicle. Take off the disc calipers to clear the space for the coil spring block installation.
- 3). Raise the axle arm itself using another floor jack.
- 4). Remove the U-bolts from the two rear axles with a ratchet and socket. Note that many vehicles have different U-bolt sizes, so use the appropriate ratchet and socket that matches the bolt size for the make and model of your vehicle.
- 5). Slip the aluminum coil ring spacer onto each axle. Install the spacers so that the inner pins of the spacer match up with the axle itself. Secure the aluminum coil ring spacers into place with U-bolts, once again with the ratchet and socket.
- 6). Reattach the wheels to your rear axles, and secure in place using the original tire bolts.
- 7). Lower the jacks on the axles and wheels, and remove the vehicle from all jacks.
