  The Compaq Presario R3000 is a notebook computer developed by Compaq in 2004 to serve the business and design markets. The processor speed and amount of memory available allow for easy document editing, in addition to image and graphic-handling capabilities. As of 2010, the Presario R3000 is serviced by Hewlett Packard technical support.

• The Compaq Presario R3000 utilizes a single-core, 1.6 GHz Athlon 3000+ processor and 256MB of DDR SDRAM. The Athlon processor uses less energy than Intel processors, lending the three-hour battery life of the Compaq laptop.

• The Presario R3000 uses a 15.4-inch monitor with a maximum resolution of 1,280 pixels by 800 pixels. The graphics processor of the Compaq Presario is an nVidia GeForce 4420 that uses system memory, instead of an independent graphic card memory cache, to display images.

• All Compaq Presario R3000 computers contain a 40-gigabyte internal hard drive with a search speed of 4,200 rpm. If you want to store data on external media, the Presario uses a DVD/CD-RW combo drive for creating information discs. • The Athlon/Intel based motherboard of the Compaq Presario limits the computer to Windows and Linux operating systems. The Presario R3000 uses Windows XP as its standard operating system.
