    • 1). Use a sheet of paper and pencil to sketch out the paper craft you want to make. Use your sketches to get an idea of the height, width and depth of your paper craft. Sketch out the various sides of the paper craft on different sheets of paper. Many basic paper crafts have four sides, plus a top and bottom -- meaning you'll need six sketches. If you need some ideas, check out a paper craft site such as PaperCritters.com.

    • 2). Open the Pages program from your Mac Dock or Applications folder. Click "Blank" from the Theme Chooser, and then click "Choose."

    • 3). Click "File," and then "Page Setup," and then click the drop-down menu next to "Paper Size." Then select "Manage Custom Sizes." Since your paper craft is likely to be larger than a standard piece of paper, you'll want to indicate how large you want your paper to be. Type in the size you want in the height and width sections, and then click "OK."

    • 4). Click on "Shapes," and then select a shape to start your paper craft figure. For example, if you're creating a square-shaped head, click the square shape. You'll then see it appear on the page; click the "Fill" icon from the menu bar to change its color, or to remove any color. If you don't want to use any standard shapes, click the "Shapes" icon and then select the "point to point" tool from the bottom of the list. Then click in one location to create the first point, click in another location to create the second point and so on.

    • 5). Move the shapes or lines around by clicking on the line to display a blue box, then dragging the box to where you want it to appear.

    • 6). Check the size of the shapes by clicking on the shape or line to highlight it, and then dragging one corner in or out. When you do this, you'll see a measuring tool appear on the screen, indicating the size of that particular shape. You can also open the Inspector tool from the top menu, and click on the "Metrics" icon to see the shape's dimensions. This can help you stick to the height, width and depth parameters you conceived in step 1. Be sure to monitor the size of each portion carefully so the various sides will line up when you put the pape rcraft together.

    • 7). Start a new page for each side of the paper craft. You can do this by navigating to the bottom of the page and clicking "Insert," and then "Page Break." Then create that side by repeating steps 4 through 6.
