How to Install a Commercial Refrigerator
- 1). Designate a place for your commercial refrigerator. Most commercial refrigerators are free-standing units. If you don't have the room for one very large one, consider buying two single uprights and putting them in different places.
- 2). Move the refrigerator into place using an appliance dolly or the wooden crate on which it is shipped. Once it is located, place the packing material behind the cabinet as a cushion.
- 3). Lay the unit down on its back carefully and remove the skid according to the manufacturer's instructors.
- 4). Lift the cabinet back up into place.
- 5). Secure the castors or legs onto the unit according to the manufacturer's instructions.
- 6). Level the unit once it is in its final location. The unit must be leveled both side to side and up and down in order for it to run properly.
- 7). Install any shelving and the doors according to the manufacturer's instructions.
- 8). Check the vents on the unit and make sure they are not blocked by anything.
- 9). Position the drain hoses in the pan provided.

Unwrap the cord and see that it is unencumbered by anything. The unit should not share an outlet with anything else and it should be located close enough to an outlet so as not to need an extension cord. Do not plug in the refrigerator at this point. - 11
Plug in your refrigerator after it has been located and leveled. - 12
Run your unit for two or three days before loading, if possible. This allows you to make sure that everything is working correctly.
