A food processor and food blender are almost similar in their functions but still they both differ from each other in many aspects.
There can be numerous factors which could be lined up to tell the difference between a food blender and a food processor.

As the name implies that the raw food processor is used to process the food so as to convert it into a usable form.
The equipment became a rage as soon as it was invented because it reduced the work load of hours into minutes.
Chopping, grating, preparing dough, grinding, slicing and all those jobs which required hard work and time could be done in very less time with no worries.
Cheese, bread, fruits, vegetables, garlic and any other food item, food processor can take care of all such items quite efficiently.
Another important difference is that the processor comes with various sets of blades which can be changed depending upon the tasks to be performed.
However a blender will always operate on a single set of blades running at a very high speed.
A blender can operate on a high speed than a processor for food.
In broad sense, the crude, raw materials can be handled with the help of a food processor while the blender would be used for delicate jobs.
A food processor is versatile equipment while blender works only in a single direction.
The shape of a blender would be pitcher like where as the food processor would look like a long column.
However, both the equipments are the best helping hands in the kitchen and can really simplify your task by saving your time and energy.
