Remember just because it is new doesn't mean it is with out flaws.
Purchasing your first guitar is one of the most exciting events in your new journey in learning how to play guitar.
It is really the most important single event on the road to mastering the art of playing guitar.
First of all try to get your new baby from a reputable reseller that carries several different brands and styles.
You will need a wide variety to choose from in prices and styles so you can find just the right one for you.
If you can, take along a friend or someone who is a seasoned player and let them guide you in purchasing your first guitar.
They will know a lot about what to look for in different brands as far as overall construction and price.
Don't let the sales person be the one to guide you because after all they are sales people.

  • Take a look and feel for flaws in the overall construction of the guitar.
