  • 1). Place cellophane on the maki-su (bamboo mat).

    Spread 1 c. sushi rice over the cellophane and top it with a sheet of nori (seaweed). (See Related eHows for instructions on making sushi rice.)

  • 3). Spread crab salad or strips of crab on the nori. Use about 2 to 4 tbsp. salad or about 3 strips of crab.

    Top with two to three strips of thinly sliced avocado.

  • 5). Roll the sushi. (See "How to Make a Sushi Roll," under Related eHows, for details.)

  • 6). Place the sushi roll on the cutting board.

    Sprinkle with tobiko (flying fish roe) and/or sesame seeds.

  • 8). Slice into six pieces.

    Serve with soy sauce, wasabi and vinegared ginger.
