    • 1). Unplug the Hoover SteamVac. Plug it securely into a working electrical outlet. Check your home's fuse box or circuit breaker and replace any blown fuses or reset any tripped breakers.

    • 2). Unplug the machine and take the dirty water, or recovery, tank off and empty it if the F7425900 experiences reduced suction. Prior to replacing the tank on the unit, place the lid back on tightly. Once you reassemble the unit, plug it back in and test it.

    • 3). Unplug the Hoover again if it still has problems picking up the solution. Remove and refill the water tank and, if using the hose, take it off and look through it for clogs. Remove any blockages and reassemble the machine. Plug it in, turn it on and test its suction capability.

    • 4). Clean the Hoover F7425900's valve cap if it doesn't dispense detergent. Unplug it, then take the clean water tank off the machine. Turn the valve cap, located on the front right-hand side underneath where the clean tank sits, counterclockwise to take it off. Place it in warm water for 15 minutes, then dry it. Replace it on the machine and turn clockwise. Plug the SteamVac back in and test it.
