How to Troubleshoot a Packard Bell Stereo Console
- 1). Check the power cable running from the Packard Bell stereo console to the power outlet. A cable plugs directly into the bottom side of the speaker (because it is attached to the monitor there are several inches of clearance for this).
- 2). Look at the connection between the computer tower and the speakers. Look to see if this cable is inserted properly into the "Line-In" cable of the speakers and the "Line-Out" cable of the computer tower.
- 3). Turn on the volume nob on the right side of the speaker. Even if the volume is all the way up on the computer controls no audio plays with the volume nob turned down.
- 4). Download the audio speaker drivers for the computer if you still fail to hear any audio. Navigate to the "PackardBell.com" web page, choose "Support," select "Drivers" and select the computer you are running. Click on the appropriate operating system and download the speaker drivers. Once on the computer double-click the downloaded file and follow the installation prompts to complete the driver setup.
