    • 1). Raise the vehicle with the jack. Rest the vehicle on jack stands. Get under the vehicle and remove the bolts that are securing the bumper to the frame and pull the bumper from the frame.

    • 2). Patch any holes, deep cuts or scratches using the putty from the patch kit and allow the putty to dry. Sand the entire surface of the bumper until the bumper is completely smooth and all rough edges are flush. Clean the bumper by wiping it down with a towel wet with degreaser. Allow the bumper to completely dry.

    • 3). Apply auto primer to the entire surface of the bumper and allow the primer to dry. Once the primer has completely dried, apply auto paint to the surface of the bumper. Apply as many coats of paint as you feel is needed, letting each coat dry before applying the next coat. Allow the paint to dry over night.

    • 4). Replace the bumper in the same manner you took if off when it has dried. Place the jack under the vehicle to support it while you remove the jack stands from underneath the vehicle.
