How to View a LAN Network

    • 1). Plug a network cable into your PC. Plug the other end of the cable into your LAN router. Look for a small computer icon in the bottom-right section of your screen. This icon indicates you are connected to the LAN. For wireless LAN, click "Start" and then "Connect." From the list, select your wireless LAN and press "Connect."

    • 2). Click the "Start" button and then the "Control Panel" option. Then click "Network and Internet" and "Network and Sharing Center."

    • 3). Click the "View Status" link next to the name of your LAN connection. Most LAN connections are named after the router used to create the LAN. The "View Status" menu lets you view your network, view its activity and change its settings.
