Accumulator Cover Leak

• An accumulator cover can leak due to a failed O-ring seal. An O-ring seal is a static seal used between two non-moving parts that creates a positive seal against transmission fluid leakage. The O-ring will either harden or become mushy with time and wear. Damaged O-rings can cause a transmission to lose pressure and begin to slip.
  
  

Severe Vibration When Shifting Between Gears

• Delayed or erratic gear shifting usually occurs when the transmission fluid is low. Have your transmission fluid level checked by your Isuzu Trooper service department.
  
  

Considerations

• The 2000 Isuzu Trooper has a sealed transmission system. Because there is no dipstick, the transmission fluid level must be checked by the Isuzu Trooper Service department or certified technician.
