Fixing Panic Attacks With Avoidance

If you have panic attacks, join the club.
Many of us have them at some point in life.
Although, some of us have them a lot more than others.
One way that you can fix the panic attack problem is to simply avoid the situations that make you panic.
One example of that would be if you panic when you're on airplanes.
You probably don't have to take an airplane.
You could travel by bus, car or train instead, for example.
So, you can just avoid the situation that makes you panic.
Another example is if you panic at parties.
You don't necessarily have to go to parties to get through life.
So, you could get rid of your panic attacks by simply declining party invitations.
Although avoiding the problem in the two above situations works, it's not necessarily practical.
Your friends will get mad if you never go to their parties or, more importantly, things like graduations and weddings.
Also, your bank account may suffer and you may waste a lot of time if you have to avoid flying and use other transportation.
So, is fixing panic attacks with avoidance possible? Yes.
Is it practical? Not always.
You can try it.
However, you may find that you need to try other methods, like hypnosis, medications or deep breathing exercises, to get through your panic attacks.
It all depends on whether or not you're dealing with a situation that can be easily avoided.
Also, by avoiding that situation, do you think it would hurt your quality of life? If so, you may need to seek treatments, instead.
