How to Make Jewelry With Coin Pendants
- 1). Place your coin on a piece of scrap plywood and make a small indentation with a hammer and nail in the place where you want your hole. Repeat for each coin.
- 2). Clamp a coin to the plywood and drill the hole by applying light pressure to the trigger of your Dremel. Thoroughly wax your drill bit to minimize friction and always wear safety glasses while drilling. Flip the coin over and file away any sharp metal bits. Repeat for each coin.
- 3). Cut a length of chain about a 1/2 inch shorter than you want your necklace to be. A necklace dipping just below the collar bone should measure between 17 and 19 inches.
- 4). Open a jump ring with your two sets of pliers and string it through the hole at the top of your first coin. Pass the open jump ring through a link on the chain and close it securely. Position your coins evenly along the chain as desired.
- 5). Attach the final link on either end of the chain to the small loop on both halves of the clasp with a jump ring.
