  The XB3000 is a docking station made by HP. It is designed to accommodate most of the home lines of HP laptops. The XB3000 expands the ports found on the laptop while providing additional features. However, it requires a 90W power supply to function.
  
  

Compatibility

• The XB3000 is compatible with the the HP Pavillion dv9000, dv8000, dv6000, dv5000, dv4000, dv2000, dv1400, tx1000, ze2000, DV6 and DV7 series of laptops. It is also compatible with Compaq Presario V6000 down to V2000 and the M2000 series.
  
  

USB

• The XB3000 has six USB 2.0 ports on the back and side of the base. The base design allows full access to the USB ports of the laptop, in contrast with some other bases, which can block some ports.
  
  

Video

• The base does not have a DVI, DisplayPort or HDMI ports to connect to a digital-only computer display. The base has VGA, Composite, S-Video and YpbPr component video-out connectors.
  
  

Hard Drive

• The XB3000 has an internal port capable of receiving a hard drive using an HP expansion hard drive case. The case is sold only with a hard drive already present and not alone. However, the case can be opened and the hard drive changed to a larger capacity.
  
  

Wireless Keyboard

• The XB3000 base ships with a wireless keyboard and mouse set. The base relies on a provided wireless receiver to connect the laptop to the keyboard and mouse.
  
  

Other Ports

• The XB3000 has microphone and headphone ports on the side of the base. It also has a 10/100Mb network connector on the back.
