T-Pain was born in Tallahassee, FL on September 30th, 1985.
He is a singer, rapper, songwriter, actor and record producer who started his great career as part of the group known as Nappy Headz.
Like many rap artists trying to jump-start their career, T-Pain mixtapes helped to make his unique hip hop beats famous.
T-Pain stands for "Tallahassee Pain", which he chose in order to always remember the many hardships he had to go through while living there and trying to make it as an artist.
His decision to join the group Nappy Headz, and subsequently meet and collaborate with Akon, is when his career exploded.
Though his T-Pain mixtapes were still very popular on the many online mixtape sites, he started to sing rather than rap.
The first hip hop album he released was Rappa Ternt Sanga which hit the shelves on December 6th of 2005.
The album reached numberthirty-three on Billboard charts and sold over 500,000 copies.
With his newfound success, he quickly started work on his second album, entitled Epiphany, which quickly became a number one hit.
Though his hip hop beats have become world famous today, T-Pain mixtapes, and his use of the program known as Auto-Tune for pitch correction laid the groundwork for his success.
These rap mixtapes include titles such as Flyah Instrumentals 4, Tallahassee Hero, Bring the Pain, and The Ipod of Pain.
He even worked with Lil' Wayne on many mixtapes, including Stupid Swag 1, The Remix Baby, and The Best Moments of T.
T-Pain and T-Pain mixtapes are now a regular fixture in the rap world.
Both fans and other artists can be found listening to his beats at any time.
The world awaits his next release, but one this is for sure, his older releases will always hold a place in fans hearts.
