How do I Add Two Water Temperatures?
- 1). Make sure both water temperatures use the same temperature scale, for example, both are measured in degrees Fahrenheit (F), Celsius (C), Kelvin (K) or Rankine (R). If not, use a temperature converter, such as the one found on the website for the Goddard Space Flight Center's Cryogenics and Fluids Branch, to convert all degree readings to the same scale.
- 2). Enter the first temperature to be added, in degrees, into a calculator. Touch the "+" key.
- 3). Enter the second temperature to be added, in degrees, into the calculator. Touch the "=" key. The result is the total temperature.
