  Easter plants are very popular, as they are a good way to bring spring into your home before your flower garden blooms. These plants are usually available around March and April. They flowers are beautiful in your house and then you can plant them in your flower garden to grow all summer long.
  
  

Easter Lily

• Easter lilies are trumpet-shaped, white flowers that have a pleasant fragrance. The plants are available around Easter at greenhouses, florists and other retail stores. Make sure to get a plant that has one or two open blooms and several buds. The plants will bloom for two or three weeks indoors with proper care. These flowers prefer cool temperatures but should be placed in lighted area, but not in direct sunlight. Avoid drafty locations and water the plant when the soil is dry to the touch.
  
  

Indoor Hydrangeas

• Hydrangeas are not ideally an indoor plant, but they cannot take cold winters, and they add a beautiful springtime feeling to your home. The big-leafed hydrangea is the plant used for indoors near Easter. The plant produces mum-like flowers that are purple, white, pink or blue. The flowers' color depends on many factors in the soil. If the soil is acidic, the flowers will be blue. Alkaline soil results in pink flowers. Blue hydrangeas tend to turn to purple with regular watering. The white flowers will stay white. Water plants when the soil is dry to the touch.
  
  

Tulips

• Tulips should be planted around November to bloom by spring. It takes the bulbs at least 10 to 12 weeks to bloom. These are beautiful spring flowers to have indoors. Tulips have a small cup shape and come in a variety of colors. The flowers prefer a sunny, indoor location and the soil should stay moist. The soil should consist of equal parts of soil, sand and peat moss. The plant could bloom as early as January. Make sure not to over water the bulbs. These flowers will add indoor cheer and color to cold winter months.
  
  

Daffodils

• Daffodils have a trumpet-shaped center up against star-shaped petals and are yellow. These flowers should be planted around November in order to bloom by spring. Daffodils are beautiful flowers to have indoors for spring. The soil should have equal parts of peat moss, soil and sand. Do not over water these flowers, just water when the soil is dry to the touch. The plant prefers an indoor sunny location.
