Jon Viera (Escuro Recordings - Boston,MA) A veteran of all things house, Jon has been involved in the music scene one way or another for the last 15 years.

Jon started listening to EDM when he was 13. A friend of his had some mix tapes from his older brother. They were filled with things that he had never heard before. Breaks, House, Techno, a title meant nothing to Jon. He started to collect flyers from the local area and his love for music grew.


After collecting mix tapes for a year Jon went to his first rave at the age of 14. From there he was hooked by a musical passion. Jon started his record collection in 1990 and he has not looked back since. He started dj'ing a little over 4 years ago. And is currently going into production work. He now works out of his small studio, where he spends sleepless nights either on the turntables or on his computer. Influences include Antonio Pereira, Danny Tenaglia, Marcello Castelli, Manny Ferreiros and Carl Cox among others. House music is his love, techno is his mistress. With a small but growing list of remixes, Jon has started to gain support from producers such as Craig Mitchell and Mike Viera.

Jon is currently running his own house music label, Escuro Recordings. Along with being a freelance writer for dancemusic.D106 Jon also promotes at Boston's members only after hours, Rise.
