    • 1). Insert a sheet of card stock or lightweight cardboard in your computer printer. Print a pyramid pattern from a website. The Public Broadcasting Service's Nova website recommends a scale model.

    • 2). Cut out the pattern with scissors along the lines. Only cut the outside lines; the dotted lines are for folding.

    • 3). Fold the triangles toward the center along the dotted lines.

    • 4). Use masking tape to tape each triangle to the one next to it. Before you tape the last pair together, fill the pyramid toy with balls of newspaper or reused packaging materials such as foam disks or "peanuts." This helps the toy pyramid keep its shape.

Spray-paint the pyramid toy with gold granite paint or other paint of your choice. Allow the paint to dry. Apply a second coat of spray paint. Allow the paint to dry completely.

    • 6). Use a felt-tip pen or fine paintbrush to apply light brown horizontal and vertical lines on the pyramid to represent the large blocks making up the Great Pyramid.

    • 7). Spray-paint a clear coat over the toy pyramid. Allow to dry.
