    • 1). Purchase a replacement air-conditioner filter. Dodge recommends using a factory-spec air-conditioner filter (Mopar part number 04596501AB), but you can use any brand, as long as it is designed specifically for the Magnum. Avoid generic or one-fits-all filters.

    • 2). Shut the engine down; open the hood and support it. Find the filter screen on the passenger-cowl cover, right beneath the windshield. Press down the retaining clips on the cowl, and then pull the filter screen off.

    • 3). Flip open the door behind the filter screen. The air-conditioner filter is visible inside. Gently pull the filter up to remove it.

    • 4). Install the new air-conditioner filter. Gently push it all the way down to seat it. Close the access door.

    • 5). Place the filter screen back onto the passenger-cowl cover. Push it down firmly to re-engage the retaining clips. Close the hood to finish.
