How to Replace a Car Battery for a 2003 Buick LA Sabre
- 1). Turn off the LeSabre's engine. Open the hood.

- 4). Lift the terminals from the battery posts, ensuring that they do not touch each other.
- 5). Dip a toothbrush in a solution of baking soda and water and use it to clean any corrosion from the battery terminals.
- 6). Remove the dead battery and place the new battery in the battery tray.
- 7). Fasten the positive (red) battery terminal to the battery post on the new battery, tightening it down with a 1/2-inch wrench. Repeat this process for the negative (black) terminal.
- 8). Seat the mounting bracket back into place, tightening where necessary. Close the hood.
