    • 1). Log in to Windows XP with the Administrator user ID and password.

    • 2). Click the Windows "Start" button and then right-click on "My Computer."

    • 3). Click "Manage" from the context menu to launch the Computer Management interface.

    • 4). Click "Local Users and Groups" in the left navigation pane.

    • 5). Click the "Users" option.

    • 6). Click the user account to edit.

    • 7). Check the check box in front of the option "User Cannot Change Password" and click "OK."

    • 8). Click the "X" in the right corner of the Computer Management window to close.
