How to Clean a Laundry Machine
- 1). Check the inside of your laundry machine for any obvious dirt spots or stains. Spray the stain with an all-purpose cleaner and wipe it with a clean cloth.
- 2). Fill your laundry machine with hot water. Add 2 gallons of white vinegar and allow the solution to agitate in the wash cycle for 8 to 10 minutes. Stop the laundry machine and let the vinegar and water sit overnight.
- 3). Turn the laundry machine back on and let it proceed to the rinse cycle to wash away the vinegar, soap scum and dirt. The white vinegar will break down, loosen and remove mildew, soap scum and grime stuck in the crevices of your laundry machine.
- 4). Leave the lid of your laundry machine propped open so the inside can dry thoroughly.
