Protein is another good thing to add to your diet. Lots of diet programs are talking about eating a very small amount of food each day in order to lose weight fast. These diets leave out proteins which is a very important part of ever good diet. It helps your body reach an optimal level of metabolism. Proteins can be found on foods such as lean red meat, eggs, and fish. It's best to have a serving of protein for 2-3 meals a day.

Fiber is another one that should be a part of your daily meal plan. Foods such as beans, whole grain rice, whole grain bread, etc., have fiber. Conditions such as constipation will be prevented because fiber helps your digestive system be in tip-top shape. And a digestive system that is firing on all cylinders also helps your metabolism rate.
