    • 1). Check to make sure the handle of the machine is reclining. The brush won't turn if the handle is locked in the upright position. Press the detent peddle with your foot on the bottom right of the machine to recline the handle.

    • 2). Check if debris is caught in the brush, which may have tripped the circuit breaker on the machine. Turn off the machine's power, lower the handle to the floor, and turn the machine onto its side. Go to the bottom of the machine and feel around in the brush for debris that may be stuck in or wrapped around the brushes. Pull it out or cut it out with scissors if necessary. Turn the power back on and try again.

    • 3). If neither of these solutions work, the brush belt is probably broken. Turn off the cleaner and unplug it from the wall. Remove the water and shampoo tanks. Set them aside.

    • 4). Unscrew the nozzle on the front base of the machine with a Philips screwdriver. Set it aside.

    • 5). Turn the machine onto its side. Lay it with the cord side facing down.

    • 6). Remove the two black screws to take off the clear end cap. Be careful not to drop the screws into the machine.

    • 7). Remove either (but only one) of the silver screws. Gently lift up on the pivot arm, located on the side of the machine facing up, to remove it. Take out the broken brush belt and replace it with a new one. Replace all of the machine components, turn it upright, reassemble, and power on.
