How to Buy Memory for Sony Vaio Laptop
Instructions
1Obtain your laptop's model number. On the main frame of your laptop, you'll locate the name of your computer, as well as possible model number. If not readily visible, you can turn your computer over to reveal the manufacturer's sticker on the base of your laptop, which contains your Sony Vaio's laptop model number.
2
Visit Sony's website. Through the Sony Style Customer Service website, you can input your laptop's model number to reveal the factory-installed specifications relevant to your particular Sony Vaio laptop. Make note of the "expandable to" information under "Memory."
3
Know the current memory on your laptop. Right click "My Computer" on your desktop and then select "Properties." At the bottom in the "General" area you can find the memory information, such as "512 MB of RAM."
4
Search for memory. The 4All Memory considers themselves "The Memory Specialists." Through their website, you can search for your specific computer and locate available memory.
5
Purchase your Sony Vaio laptop's memory. If you currently have 512 MB of RAM from Step 3, you can buy enough memory to take you up to the "expandable to" amount in Step 2, but not over that amount.
