How to Make Green T-Shirts
- 1). Protect your hands, skin and clothing by wearing gloves and old clothes.
- 2). Fill a washing machine with hot water. You need enough water so the T-shirts can move easily.
- 3). Pour the packet of dye powder and two cups of hot water into a large bowl to dissolve the powder, then add it to the washload.
- 4). Soak the shirts to be dyed in hot water. Shake out most of the wrinkles, then put the shirts in the washer.
- 5). Make sure the wash cycle is set for extended wash. The shirts should be in the washer for at least 30 minutes before the rinse cycle starts.
- 6). For green shades or other dark colors, rinse the shirts in warm water. Add a light detergent to the shirts, and continue washing them but in cooler water. The shirts are done when the water runs clear.
- 7). Hang the shirts to dry.
- 8). Clean the washer to avoid staining: Fill with hot water, then add regular detergent and bleach. Allow the washer to run for a complete cycle.
