    • 1). Fold a colorful burp cloth or small receiving blanket in half lengthwise and then fold it in half again. Fold a pipe cleaner in half. Lay the folded end against one short end of the burp cloth or receiving blanket, with the ends of the pipe cleaner protruding above. Roll up the burp cloth, beginning at the short end with the pipe cleaner.

    • 2). Cut four strips of 1/2-inch wide ribbon. Make each piece long enough to wrap around the burp cloth or receiving blanket roll. Wrap the strips around the roll, evenly spaced apart, and tape or sew the ends of the ribbon together.

    • 3). Cut a 10-inch diameter circle of tulle fabric. Pinch two opposite sides of the circle into the middle and wrap another strip of ribbon around the pinched middle so the tulle looks like a wide bow.

    • 4). Lay the diaper on your work surface horizontally, with one long side of the diaper in front of you; the picture should be facing down.

    • 5). Lay the tulle on the top center of the diaper with the wide edges of the tulle extending out from one short side of the diaper to the other. Lay the ribbon-wrapped roll on top. Insert pins to hold the pieces together if you are hanging the butterflies; otherwise, leave the items loose so the diapers can be used later.
