It's enough to spin ones head and confuse you.
All of these ideas promote something different and claims weight loss success through testimonials.
Who is right? Is it good for you? Have you tried these without success yourself? Well, hopefully I can help you make sense of this all because while some of these programs may help one person, they may not help the other person.
Some of these programs can be good for you while others can be detrimental to your health.
The bottom line is that each one of us is different just slightly in our genetic and chemical makeup and therefore will react differently to what we eat.
So first off, I would like to say that if you have a major problem with weight loss and have tried everything under the sun, I suggest you seek professional council whether it be your current doctor or dietary nutritionist.
With that being said, we need to get to the root of the issue.
In my studies and experiences, there are 3 Major reasons why people do or do not loose weight: 1.
Caloric intake 2.
The type of food and nutrients they put into their body 3.
The amount of food and the amount of times they eat food If you, for the most part, are a healthy person without any major issues or diseases and have problems loosing weight, I want you to consider for a moment your eating habits.
Ask yourself and you have to be honest, (And I mean honest if that comes down to really analyzing and measuring every ounce and type of food you put into your body) how many calories am I eating per day? What type of foods am I putting into my body? How many times do I eat in a day and when? How much salt, protein, fats and carbohydrates do I ingest in a day? I can almost predict that if you measure all of these factors, you will be shocked and amazed at the results and you will see why it is that you are challenged in the weight loss arena.
So today I will talk about Reason #1: Caloric Intake The bottom line, common sense approach here is this.
Eat more calories then your body requires in a day, gain weight.
Eat an equal amount of calories your body needs, stay at your current weight.
Eat less calories then your body requires in a day, lose weight.
Yes, the concept is that simple however there are a few factors that can skew these results.
And here is why we need to take some time and analyze ourselves and take into consideration these other factors.
A.
Do you work out or are you do you have a sedentary lifestyle? B.
Do you know what your BMR (Basil Metabolic Rate) is? C.
What type of foods are you eating? Once you know these 3 factors, you can then determine how many calories you need to eat and what type of foods you need for your desired goal.
