How to Install Bulk Ink on a Epson R260 Printer
- 1). Turn the Epson R260 printer on by pressing the power button. You'll be able to verify that it is completely on by viewing the green light coming from the power button. If the printer does not respond quickly, continue to hold the power button for a few more seconds until the green light appears in a solid state without flashing.
- 2). Raise the printer and cartridge cover to an upward position. You'll need to do this in order to insert the bulk ink cartridges into the correct slots. The cartridge cover is located on the right side of the Epson R260 printer at the top. When doing this, you should gently raise this compartment door without any extra force.
- 3). Remove the plastic covering from your brand-new bulk ink cartridges. You can do this by simply tearing along the perforated lines or using scissors to cut them open. Be extremely careful while doing this, because ink can spill out if you open or cut the packages incorrectly. It is also a good idea to handle the hooks located on the side of the cartridges with care.
- 4). Peel the yellow tape from the bulk ink cartridge. It will be located at the very bottom. Since removing the tape will expose the ink in the cartridges, you should use them immediately. In order to make the bulk ink cartridges work correctly, you'll have to remove the tape before inserting them.
- 5). Place each bulk ink cartridge into their correct slots. You'll be able to recognize the right positions based on the color codes. Each ink cartridge matches its corresponding color slot. Gently insert the cartridge down into the slot until you hear a clicking noise. This noise will help you identify that it has been inserted correctly.
- 6). Close the ink cartridge cover when you have completely inserted each cartridge. After doing this, place the Epson R260 printer cover down and press the ink button. The printer will begin the process of recognizing that new cartridges have been installed. During this process the green power light button will start flashing for about a minute. When everything has been completed, it will return to a solid green color and is ready for you to start printing.
