103 4
Ever wonder how you may share your opportunity with Kristin and the very statements get her excited, pumped, and ready to go to work! But give the exact same presentation to Johnny (style and all) and he exudes pure boredom? I could never understand why I received scattered results with my "cookie-cutter", although energetic and informative, presentation when introducing my business.
My error - I did not curtail my approach to the various personalities in the room.
I had one style which may have reached some personalities (especially mine) but not all.
It was not until I discovered the power in using personality colors that my approach changed in how I dealt with prospects, customers and team members, ultimately changing my business.
Don't make the same mistake I did, missing out on potential customers and team members.
Know who you're talking to! Here are the 4 Personality Types serving as a foundation for people training.
Yellow, 35% of population You will recognize a Yellow Personality by their nurturing, gentle, caring nature.
They are team players, family-oriented, and highly value unity.
Yellows tend to be teachers, social and union workers.
In a conversation, they will talk, stop, and listen, and repeat the cycle, giving you an opportunity to learn about them and create a relationship.
They are open with their feelings, but indirect.
They hate bullies, conflicts, and pushy aggressive people! A Yellow will build you a solid team because they make the relationships and get to know their people.
However, their weaknesses lie in their sensitivity to rejection and buying others excuses.
They are incredible leaders once they are nudged and overcome this step.
Green, 35% of population Green Personalities are analytical and crave facts.
They are the ones who will ask you questions from the company's history, to every aspect of the compensation plan, to the CEO's birthplace.
Wanting lots of information and exact detail are your Greens which breeds excitement.
You will find Greens as engineers and your internet tech savvy people.
Although very courteous, don't try to sell them or they will never return your phone calls.
Their strengths include structure, organization, never quitting, and executing a plan.
Taking too long to move to action is one of their weaknesses, along with being closed, indirect, and always waiting for the perfect timing.
Empower Greens by giving details and showing a system that when implemented yields results.
Blue, 15% of population Unlike a Green, Blues hate facts and figures.
They are your high energy, enthusiastic personality, with the mindset that life is a big party.
Their focus - fun, fun, fun! Blues are your most creative personality and you will find them in entertainment, public speaking, and sales of any kind.
They are sociable, enjoy meeting new people, and give more than enough details when asked.
Their weaknesses tend be unorganized, poor listening skills, scattered, and talking too much.
Because they are emotionally driven, they may join an opportunity today and be bored with it tomorrow.
Constantly keep their vision and goal in their forefront to motive them to action! Red, 15% of population Reds are your powerhouses! You will see them in top leadership positions such as CEOs, air pilots, and attorneys.
They are motivated by money, money, and more money.
Characteristics include focused, direct, and competitive.
Reds are your movers and shakers in an organization and desire the top or head spot.
They are your "bottom line, skip the chit chat" and get right to the point type personality! However, because of their domineering, controlling, impatient, and ego driven nature, they have a challenge with building genuine relationships, which is the lifeline of the network marketing industry.
It is up to the Red to determine if he/she is willing to be coached in human relations and relationship building.
To combine this element with their leadership potential, a Red will create an empire! Don't be caught color-blind! Speak their language.
Studying people not only builds you as a leader, you equip yourself with the knowledge to help others stretch and grow their business beyond their dreams.
Happy Coloring!
