How to Replace the Passenger Side Mirror on a 2001 Nissan

    • 1). Turn on the Nissan. Use the electric mirror adjuster to turn the passenger side mirror all the way to the left. If the mirror will not turn, manually turn it by pushing on it with your hand. This causes the right side of the mirror to stick out of the housing.

    • 2). Slide your fingers behind the mirror and press on its face with your thumb. Pull out on the mirror to separate the ball and socket joint that connects the mirror to the electric motor. The motor will not be damaged when you pull the mirror off.

    • 3). Snap the new mirror onto the electric motor by placing it against the motor and pushing on the face of the mirror to pop it into place.
