How to Replace the Window Motor on a 2002 Buick LeSabre
- 1). Pry the LeSabre's window switch -- and window switch bezel assembly -- out of the door panel using a trim tool. Detach the wiring connector from the base of the switch by hand.
- 2). Remove the screws holding the LeSabre's door panel to the door using a Phillips screwdriver. Lift the LeSabre's door panel up and off the door by hand.
- 3). Reach into the LeSabre's door with your hands and lift the window to the top of the window frame. Tape the window to the top of the frame with packing tape.
- 4). Detach the wiring connector from the power window motor manually. Remove the bolts holding the LeSabre's power window motor to the window regulator and door using a socket set. Pull the old motor out of the door.
- 5). Set the LeSabre's new power window motor in position. Bolt the motor to the regulator and door using a socket set. Attach the wiring connector to the motor by hand.
- 6). Reinstall the LeSabre's door panel by reversing the method used to remove it. Take all the tape off the glass and door before using your LeSabre's new power window motor.
