Employment for other nursing aides is expected to grow at a rate of 18 percent through 2018. • Students can earn an associate's or a bachelor's degree at Miami Dade College's School of Nursing. The associate and bachelor degrees prepare students to get their license as a registered nurse so they can work in hospitals, medical clinics, private physician offices and centers that care for the elderly. Coursework covers obstetrics, pediatric health care, psychiatric nursing, anatomy and chemistry. Financial aid is available through scholarships, grants and student loans. Approximately 170,000 students attended the college in 2010.
