How to Reset My E-Machine with System Restore

    • 1). Click the Windows "Orb" located on the bottom left of your screen.

    • 2). Click "All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore." System Restore will then open.

    • 3). Click "Choose a different restore point" and then click the "Next" button.

    • 4). Select a restore point on screen that comes before your computer changed. The restore point chosen should not be any older than one week.

    • 5). Click "Next" to proceed with the restore. Click "Yes" when asked if you are sure you want to restore the computer. System Restore will then begin resetting your eMachines computer. The process may take a few minutes or as much as an hour to complete.

    • 6). Click "Close" when the dialog box appears stating that the restore has completed successfully. Your computer has now been reset with System Restore.
