How to Remove Ford Explorer Seats
- 1). Open the doors and unbolt the front seats using a combination of the 3/8-inch ratchet and socket and open-end wrench set depending on access. It may be easier to access some bolts with a wrench as opposed to a ratchet, depending on your arm length.
- 2). Lean the seat forward and disconnect the wiring that connects to the bottom of the seat. This harness may be hard to unclip with your hands. If so, use a flat-head screwdriver to pry the latch off the harness and pull it out.
- 3). Lift up the seat by placing one hand on the headrest and one on the bottom of the seat and lift it out of the vehicle. Repeat the process for the other seats in the vehicle.
