    Apple Stamping

    • This art craft is simple for toddlers to execute and requires very little preparation. Pour small amounts of paint onto a paper plate, being careful that they do not bleed into each other. Cut an apple in half and hand a half to your toddler. Place a piece of construction paper in front of your child. Instruct him to dip the apple, sliced side down, into the paint. Then, he will stamp the apple onto the paper. Offer him markers or crayons to create a stem or a worm peeking out from the side of the apple.

    Autumn and Acorns

    • Cut out large acorns from construction paper. Then, have your class decorate them with pictures of their favorite things about fall. Cover a bulletin board with a fall color such as orange or yellow. Use brown butcher paper to create a tree in the center of the bulletin board. Surround the tree with the acorns. If you do not have a bulletin board free, hand the acorns around the room or use them as a border around your classroom.

    Back-to-School Bus

    • This back-to-school craft will be fun for kids to create at the beginning of the school year. Cut egg cartons in half along the seam. Give each child the lid from an egg carton, paints and a paintbrush. Instruct them to paint the entire carton yellow. If you have enough paint and time, allow them to paint the inside as well. Cut out two small circles for each school bus from black construction paper, about 1 inch in diameter. Glue them to the outside of the lid for wheels. You or the student can write School Bus on the center of the carton. If desired, have them paint windows and different kids' faces in the windows.

    Leaf Frame

    • Cut out leaf shapes for your toddler. Then, arrange craft sticks into a rectangle. This will be your frame. To create a backing to support your picture, place a photo on a piece of construction paper. Make sure the photo is visible in the center of the craft sticks. Trim any excess paper. Glue down the photo with craft glue and then glue the paper to the back of the frame. Now, your toddler can glue the leaves around the frame and cover the craft sticks. Cut a piece of yarn and glue one end behind each top corner to allow you to hang your frame.
