    • 1). Using kitchen shears or a knife, cut the beef into bite-sized pieces. Place the beef, the beef bouillon cubes and the 4 cups of water into a large stew pot and boil on medium heat until tender, about an hour.

    • 2). While the beef tips are boiling, wash and remove the seeds from the bell pepper and cut into strips. Set aside.

    • 3). Peel and wash the onion and cut into strips. Set aside.

    • 4). When the beef tips are tender, add the peppers and onions to the stew pot with the beef tips. Boil just long enough for the vegetables to cook, about 10 minutes.

    • 5). Drain the broth into a heat safe bowl or container. You need just enough of the broth to prepare the gravy mix with. If there is not enough broth to prepare the gravy, add enough water to the broth to reach the required amount of liquid needed.

    • 6). Prepare the three packages of brown gravy mix according to the instructions. Add the gravy to the beef tips and vegetables and heat thoroughly.

    • 7). Serve the beef tips over cooked white rice.
