How to Load Transparencies Into the Printer
- 1). Remove all paper from the printer tray. This way, when your transparency prints, it will not grab paper underneath it.
- 2). Pick up the transparency, being careful to hold the sheet by its edges. According to the Epson website, "Oil from your fingers may transfer to the surface and damage the printable surface of the sheet."
- 3). Load the transparency into the printer tray so that the ink will print on the correct side. To find the correct side, mark a regular piece of white paper with an "x" on the top. Print this as a test page. If the side of the paper with the "x" on it prints with your desired result, then load the transparency paper exactly how you loaded the regular paper. If not, flip the transparency over and load it into the printer.
- 4). Adjust your printer settings for paper thickness according to your printer's manual. Smart Computing suggests to move the setting to either an envelope or middle position.
- 5). Print on your transparency.
- 6). Remove it from the printer and lay flat to dry. Do not touch the ink during this process, as it could smear.
