How to Close a Folding Trailer
- 1). Place wheel chocks at the trailer's tires. Open the crank hatch, typically found on the outside hard shell on the front door side.
- 2). Remove your stuff from the sleeping quarters. Put the crank tool into the spline in the housing panel. Push the canvas and any fabric on the outside of the trailer as far into the center of the camper as possible.
- 3). Turn the crank counter-clockwise and watch the roof come down. As it comes down, have someone else push the sleeping quarters into the center of the trailer.
- 4). Close and lock the hitches on the side of the trailer once the roof is completely on the hard shell. Remove the crank and store it in the panel housing.
- 1). Place wheel chocks under the tires. Open the housing panel outside the camper and find the small hand-held box with the "Raise" and "Lower" switch.
- 2). Remove your stuff from the sleeping quarters. Push the canvas into the camper as far as possible.
- 3). Press the switch to lower the roof. Push the sides of the sleeping quarters into the center of the pop-up as it lowers. Turn the switch to "Neutral" when the roof is down. Put the box away and close the panel.
- 4). Close all hitch locks so the roof stays put while you're on the road.
